With over 260 years of combined public safety experience, our team is a diverse mix of technologists, innovators, and former public safety professionals who are passionate about moving the needle. Each of us has strong personal ties to all areas of public safety services, with many of our staff having served (or currently serving) as first responders in their communities.

We’re proud to bring a wealth of knowledge to the table, backed by extensive professional experience, advanced education, and specialized skills that align perfectly with our mission. This unique blend of hands-on emergency response experience and academic or professional expertise helps us tackle challenges with both practical know-how and technical skills.

Our team comes from diverse backgrounds, including fire science, emergency management, public administration, engineering, training and development, research and analysis, and many other related fields. This varied expertise enables the Center of Excellence to address the complex, interconnected challenges that today’s fire and emergency services face.
